brown
Brown is a composite color. In the CMYK color model used in printing or painting, brown is made by combining red, blue, and yellow. In the RGB color model used to project colors onto television screens and computer monitors, brown is made by combining red and green, in specific proportions. In painting, brown is generally made by adding black to orange or yellow.
The color brown is seen widely in nature, wood, soil, human hair color, eye color and skin pigmentation. Brown is the color of dark wood or rich soil. According to public opinion surveys in Europe and the United States, brown is the least favorite color of the public; it is often associated with plainness, the rustic, feces, and poverty. More positive associations include baking, warmth, wildlife, and the autumn.
I was about to drain the heating system and noticed a brown skin floating on the top of the water in the header tank. there is also some white 'salt like' colouring. I assume this 'scum' is a sort of bacteria that needs to be removed before draining the system. Can anyone advise what it is please?

We have found one brown coloured pipe made out of rubber which in essence look like a thick rubber hose at circa 15mm (although it is likely to be imperial) carrying hot water to a bathroom on the other side of the house. I would guess the pipe was installed some 20 years+ ago and is possibly a...

I have just had my soil stack altered to accomodate a corner toilet without a flexi. I was very pleased with the finished result: the toilet flushes really well, no up hill pipe, and no worries about flexi in the wall falling to bits in 5 years time. However, 3 plumbers have been round to quote...

Hello
I’ve just purchased new toilets and basins manufactured by Roca.
There are a few small brown marks, like dots on the toilets and basins.
Can anything be done to remove them?
Thanks for your time and advice!
