  • Hi everyone nice to meet you, i'm Cath, homeowner, being driven mad by an unidentified noise in the party wall. Am waiting for my grandson to come and help me create a sound recording and will then post a description on the diy thread in the hope that someone here may be able to help identify what's happening. Any advice as to what format the sound file should be? Thanks

Obviously I know all the reasoning behind the ads needed to keep this great site working. Love to get back to viewing like I use to, & hoping I can maybe soon Hello a regular member for more information You may reply to this message here.
  • Hello plumbers forum. I’ve jumped on here to introduce myself. I run a small home refurbishment business on the Hampshire West Sussex border which involves a lot of multi trade skills. I turned into a plumber by accident as I thought I was destined to be a billionaire playboy but it turns out you need more money than my Saturday job was providing.
  • Hi Quick word to save my account. A few years ago I got scammed, guy said he'd fit a mistral condensing boiler and change the jets for it run run the french standard diesel house fuel. Well I got the boiler off of him after a struggle, but he never did the job, he ran off with the rest of the cash, a few k. I've had this boiler sitting in my shed for 6 years maybe, who wants it will have to come and collect it, if it's even worthwhile idk. France lower Normandy.

  • Hi – I am looking to return back to the industry. I completed a three year adult apprenticeship having qualified with the City & Guilds Level 2 and the NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing & Heating. I have three years experience. I am based in Carshalton in Surrey / Greater London. I want to get back into the trade but finding positions is proving to be difficult. Due to covid bereavement i left the firm I was with in South East Kent and returned back to my current location and went back to what I was doing before I retrained. […]

  • Hello, I am a DIYer, looking for occasional advice to keep me on track with simple, minor projects.
  • Hi, I've followed this excellent forum for several years but have never posted, so decided I'd better give some details. My status is the upper end of DIY and I've a couple of house renovations under my belt (my own homes) I am retired but do volunteer handyman jobs for the elderly. Not stealing your trades, guys, just all the wee jobs that the elderly cannot get tradesmen to do. I've never had to post a query of my own so far, but found a wealth of knowledge just by reading. Keep up the good work with the forum.
