On string instruments, a stopped note is a note whose pitch has been altered from the pitch of the open string by the player's left hand pressing (stopping) the string against the fingerboard.

    Trickle from the expansion tank.

    While working in the loft today I became aware of the sound of trickling water. On examination it was found to be coming from the central heating expansion tank. It appeared to be topping up the system and has now stopped. Is this normal or a cause for concern please?:confused5:
