Hi lads.
Just realised I'm about to remove a Potterton combi which has 15mm gas feed.
A MAIN combi going for installation and the pipe size is 22mm
Pipework is totally concealed atm and there's about a 1500mm of 15mm accessible pipe run to the old Potterton
Is there such a fitting or a...
I live in a flat where the cylinder is located in a closet. Last year I had a shower mixer installed. Unfortunately there is not enough hot water pressure so we are unable to use the shower. I was told that a pump can be installed either in the closet or under the tub which will remedy the...

I'm employed as a plumber and GSR. I currently earn £11 an hour for a 40 hour week (£23k). I am provided with a less than 3yr old van and company clothing. If I finish early in the day due to speed I am still paid the full day but if I run over I get overtime. I've worked for the same company...
I have an issue with lack of flow to an upstairs bathroom and wonder if adding an extra feed from the header tank to just above the gate valve would increase flow, I know it will add pressure. I'm also moving the header tank to the highest possible location in the loft as I only have about 300mm...
My pressure is below 1 bar when cold. The manual just says "increase the pressure by doing what the installer showed you". Great.
on other boilers there have been some easy to adjust valves to do this. But I'm not 100% sure on this boiler. Any suggestions please?
Thanks
My heating has stopped working and I think it may be because the pressure is now 0. It's meant to be 1.5. When I moved into my new build the builders showed me what to do and I can't remember.

A friend of mine recently bought a bungalow and increased most of the radiators from singles to doubles.
The existing pump, a WiloGold RS60, is very noisy and vibrating and needs replacing.
Yesterday it was suggested he replace the failing pump with a Grundfos UPS2 15-50/60...
Hi there,
This is my first time posting and hope I'm posting in the correct category.
I have an apartment in Italy and control my water supply through a stop tap in the building. Next to it is what seems to be a pressure gauge. I have attached 2 photos to illustrate.
My shower pressure isn't...
I am in the process of refurbing a flat in a period house. The flat includes the 1st and second floors. The plan is to put 2 shower rooms on the first floor and another in the loft.
My plumber has now indicated that there is an issue with the water pressure from the mains. He reckons there is...

Hi all,
Please can someone confirm how I increase the pressure in my boiler which is currently sat on .5 bar using the filling loop i.e. which valves I need to open? Photo attached.
Many thanks indeed,
Daniel
Has anyone else who s fitting vogue s been told they re going up in price?
i ve just priced a 32kw vogue and my merchant said it s gone up by about £90 before vat because of the 10 year warranty.
Hopefully this isn't true as they were well priced.
Starting to really seem like gas engineers have been getting hit hard with their vans and lock ups over the past four or 5 months.
plenty of posts of it on here, twitter and facebook.
im starting to wonder if they are looking through the gas safe, oftec or those like for us

Hi,
My company is fitting out a restaurant with new toilets. The hot water in this section is currently supplied by 15mm to 5 draw off points. The new toilets are in a different area about 5-10 meters away and will bring the draw-off points to around 9.
Should I be looking to increase the...

HI all my first post on here
I installed a new (2nd) shower and installed a bigger pump to drive both.
Have two 25gal CWtanks linked as storage in small loft above the bathroom. This has turned out to be too small (as expected). The problem is the loft will not hold more. I do have more loft...
Hi all,
I have about 120mm dia (four and a half inch) circular vent hole in my kitchen wall.
The issue I am faced with is that Most of the vent kits are either 100mm, 125mm or 150m.
The vent is for extractor hood. Manufacturer recommend min 120m but prefer 150mm for maximum extraction.
What...
Hi all, I'm off to Reading this weekend to help a mate out who wants a couple of radiators moving. Unfortunately he's just moved into a newer house with 10mm microbore pipe running down the insides of the walls and for one reason or another the pipes can't remain hidden between the old and the...
I went to the Hospital yesterday about an ongoing issue with my wrist. A tendon is jumping over the ulna (the lump of bone on the outside of the wrist) and making a rather loud snapping sound. After a while it becomes very painful and my hand cramps up. I've got to have an operation on it, they...
