degrees
An academic degree is a qualification awarded to students upon successful completion of a course of study in higher education, usually at a college or university. These institutions commonly offer degrees at various levels, usually including bachelor's, master's and doctorates, often alongside other academic certificates and professional degrees. The most common undergraduate degree is the bachelor's degree, although in some countries there are lower level higher education qualifications that are also titled degrees (e.g. associate degrees and foundation degrees) and higher level (e.g. undergraduate master's degrees).
The above boiler has been excellent for 25 years. Recently, the temperature in house started to decline. The recirculation pump has been changed, and a new Honeywell thermstat fitted. Boiler fires up when the room is below 16 degrees, but cuts out when 18 reached It keeps coming on throughout...

Hi

Had our opened vented hot water cylinder swapped for a combi boiler. The DHW pipe from the boiler is in 22mm all the way to its final draw off which is the bath. since the swap the flow at the bath hot water tap is poor. I thought it would be much better flow as the hot is now running off the...
Last week while in the shower our water went cold so after some investigation we found the boiler was heating the water to 41 degrees then stopping and the temp would drop off. We put it down to the thermostatic valve cartridge in our Bathstore mixer tap after looking around the web but this...

At work, our offices are heated by a Vaillant Ecotec 831 boiler which is controlled by a VRT392F controller. We are constantly plagued by the fact that the boiler spends most of the day giving out a low heat output. Typically the gauge on the boiler reads 40 degrees, although on rare occasions...
Firstly I would like to thank all who have contributed to my previous posts. The Alpha+ pump has been repaired...thank god.

Hi, I have started to become concerned that the boiler I had installed in February is undersized.
Background is we moved into a new house last October, its off-grid and has LPG gas heating. The boiler was 20 years old and seemed to use a horrendous amount of gas (£300 / month through winter)...

I would be really interested in opinions on whether it is more efficient to plan a central heating system to run at low or high temperatures.
The radiator manufacturer states heat output in W at delta 30 and delta 60 with respect to the average room temperature. The installation is a mild...
I posted earlier about our hot water cycling on and off but now its got worse :(
When a hot water tap is opened, water starts to flow, the boiler fires up and the boiler temp display goes up slowly to around 60 degrees, all as usual, and the water gets warm. Then, the boiler temp starts to...

Hi all.
We have had a few issues with our boiler over a couple of years, which I'll try to keep concise. We have a condensing boiler in the kitchen, cylinder in a bedroom and water tanks in the loft. A running problem is that when the heating and hot water are on at the same time the hot water...

Hi,
Is there a recommended temperature rate increase rate for a correctly sized ch system.
i.e x degrees per hour? - say if building is at 10deg, how long should it take to get to 18 degrees?
Morning,
The temperature of the hot water in out immersion tank is very inconsistant, the stat on the tank is sat at 60 and the boiler is a condensing unit, do thermostats 'break' or can they operate in an inconsistant way?
Sometimes the water heats up in the way you would expect IE you can...

Hi Friends
I want to buy some set squares so I can measure the angles of pipe bends accurately.
I can't seem to find any sets. I see I can get 45/90 but I also need the 60/30 of a decent size.
Also, i don't want to really be spending £30 odd for it!
Any ideas? Local companies that make them...
