which grips do people use to prevent scratching TRV's or chrome fittings?
I usually use a towel, but grips go through these
 
Adjustable spanner not grips or pump pliers. Preferably bahco.
 
until some idiot has used push fit fittings with straight rad valves and valve keeps moving, then you have to put grips on valve
