still
A still is an apparatus used to distill liquid mixtures by heating to selectively boil and then cooling to condense the vapor. A still uses the same concepts as a basic distillation apparatus, but on a much larger scale. Stills have been used to produce perfume and medicine, water for injection (WFI) for pharmaceutical use, generally to separate and purify different chemicals, and to produce distilled beverages containing ethanol.

I am just beginning and had to change some bleeds on some radiators for automatic air bleeds on a gravity fed system. I shut off power to boiler pump etc and shut down the valves (one trv) at each end of four radiators. One radiator behaved as expected and had a dribble of water when removing...
Further to the above thread. Perhaps I should clarify as some are not too clear, I'm indeed Dick Puller the infamous SF forum member. Please don't take my threads, posts & views too seriously, I do enjoy a degree of banter & perhaps one or two members may find me in fact helpful.
Thanks for...
Was talking to another gas engineer & he told me he had to change a combi over as he could"nt get hold of the old type pump! Anyone else had this prob?

He's on his way to see a custard who's boiler is currently in a cupboard on an internal wall. The flue is side exit.
It looks like the boiler is going to be replaced but she doesn't want the flue coming out a bend off the top of the boiler.

Question: What level of loss from a covered F&E tank (40cmX25Cm) can be expected (summer 2013) if there were no leak in the heating circuits. Overflow pipe exits North of the building.
Reason for question. Water damage visible in two rooms over a distance of 7 meters. Floor under carpet...
Beware of this its a scam company trying to offer you work for £2000.
If you receive an email about this offering your postcode area for a 500 plus property maintenance contract then be aware it's a dodgy Scottish scammer at it again.
I’m considering changing my cylinder ahead of a bathroom upgrade. I’d like to use the opportunity to prepare for a future alternative heat source called LENR that can almost completely cover my heating and hot water requirements (and potentially microgeneration as well). This probably isn’t...

Today I had to Tee in to the Hot water draw...
