Hi all, I am looking to put a plinth heater under the kitchen units, but the only pipe work that is available are the main boiler pipes. The pump is in a cupboard upstairs, after my proposed connection point Can I use these. And will it work if I just wire it from the time clock , and controlled by a room thermostat in the same room?

If your system is open vented, it won't work! ( wrong side of the pump)

Sorry for not mentioning , it is a sealed system. The boiler flow & return pipes are 28mm.
Because of the position of the pump, am I likely to feed the heater with cooler return water. Would swept tees help to get the flow into the heater better if the were in the right orientation.

You can't connect between the boiler and pump. It's on the section side of the pump.

if its a sealed system the heater will act as a bypass it will probably work but would be uncontrolled
