I'm on a job now, siphon change on a c/c toilet, cistern has been siliconed to the wall, been shoving a hacksaw blade down the back of it put its just bending the blade! It's been siliconed all the down to the pan with horrible black silicone! Nightmare!!! Also tried heating blade up and sliding that down but it aint having it!! Why is it always on a Friday?

that's what fridays are for, to mess up your weekend. have you tried silicone eater to dissolve the silicone.

Tried a silicone dissolver but it won't soak right though! Yh I would try and get a saw it but about 10 above the top of the cistern is a tiled shelve!! Been defeated for now!! Will have a think!!

Agree sharp long kitchen knife. I had one like it the other day, did the tick but be careful a lot of force needed.

I hope you warned the custard up front that, due to the way it's been fixed in, there is a possibility that you may damage tiles or cistern. Make sure your back is covered.

Can you get a saw in from the side or underneath?

Any chance with a double edge pull saw screwfix part No.33430 goodluck regards turnpin:43:
