Good evening guys. I need some help fitting my new hive thermostat. First of all, I understood the hive thermostat requires at least 3 wires. I opened my old thermostat and I tried to see which cable is it but I couldn't understand. Can you help me with this?
Please find the picture attached. Thanks a lot!

You can't fit the hive there as it needs a permanent live, the transmitter is usually fitted near the boiler, using a permanent live from the fused spur. You could connect the existing switched live near the boiler and use that as your call for central heating. This would disconnect the wiring to your existing thermostat seen in the picture, you would then remove this and fit the battery operated hive receiver over the existing hole.

So what kind of cable do I need? Can you share a link from where to buy? Like screfix, wicks, etc. Thanks a lot.

Please don't take this the wrong way but if you are asking this I don't think you should be touching it ..........best you consult either a heating engineer, or a spark who does central heating systems ..........

So you have had help. But had no help?:D:D Just messing with you. I think that you should really get a heating engineer out.

As I also stated above. I agree.
