Has anyone ever used fluorescent dye and UV torch to trace leaks in heating systems?

Any good?

Any reviews...?

What do you guys do if leak sealer doesn't work and there are no visible leaks from boiler of rads/valves..?

Hot pipework is clearly defined where leakage occupies a larger area,
The copper was bleeding through, no hole just like a sponge.

Looks great.
However, I'm a little confused by the thermal image.
So I can see the pipe, clearly, which then disappears under the mass of heat which I would have thought was just heat from the pipe.
How did you know it was leaking there? (I know I'm being thick, sorry!)

There is somewhere a picture just outside the room, which shows the pipe again, from then on it was educated guesswork, luckily it was right.

So basically if that pipe wasn't leaking, there wouldn't have been that heat mass around the pipe like that?
