Fitting shower alongside basin - width question

Hi - My bathroom, plaster to plaster is 143cm. I would like to install a 900x900 shower and 500mm washbasin, leaving only 3cm! Is this enough for tiling, or I am trying to cram in too much? 800x800 shower is pretty small, as is 450 basin. Thought maybe a little of the 900x900 would go into the plaster, leaving maybe 4cm.

It should fit ok,your shower try is 900 wide the screen around it sits on tray so you will have at least another 10mm giving 20 to 25mm each side of basin ,this is enough,you may think about a moden square basin 500mm wide that can fit tight against the wall giving a nice space of 40 to 50mm between basin and shower screen ,wall side of basin could be recessed in wall if required to give slightly more space,or just leave central
Difficult to say exactly how much room the thickness of tiles will be as depends on wall level but should still be Ok

10mm tile depth x 2 = 20mm,
shower frame = 20mm,
equalls 40mm with a nats todger between the two if your lucky?.
i think, depending on the shower frame type ie, the adjustability of the end panel, say 40mm, then it may be possible with a large 'shelf' showing on the outer of the tray.
first thing i would do tho' is to fit the shower enclosure as narrow as possible then select a basin to suit.

er! changed my mind, thats a 900mm shower tray isn't it?. so when the screen goes on it will leave at least another 30mm clearance. sorted. may look a little cramped though. not all manufacturers '900' trays are the same size.

How about a 400mm washbasin?

What about a smaller cubicle -800 x 800?
