I think a draft inducer TJERNLUND DJ3 or D3 would be better, but might go with pic 1 and 2 if i can tie this up strong against 200mph winds. thoughts?

This is an American guy seeking our advice Harvest. Can I ask why you’re considering a draft inducer or raising height? Are you experiencing poor draft on your flue?

No worries mate. It was a genuine question. I have never seen one before.

No worries buddy. He’s in America so I’m not sure how far we can advise him lol

They’re used to overcome poor flue draft. Having a look at the photos a couple points. Any bend in a flue causes a restriction, over here if we need to turn 90 degrees we try to utilise two 45’s, although a lot of older systems still have 90’s. Also why does your flue terminate by coming back on itself? Is this some ludicrous attempt at stopping downdraft? Surely this could be aiding in any poor draft you might be having? I’m sorry but I’m struggling to make sense of all your queries

the two 90◘ on top are temporary to protect from rain.

Oil heater in garage, long, 5" dia flue coming out side of house.

without two 90° elbows on top and without the lower elbow and without the 4' vertical I get 0.005 wc draft. I need 0.02 to 0.035 wc draft. I might install a draft inducer fan inside the garage. Either that or secure the 4' vertical and put a flue cap on top.

Im not interested in laws or regulations. Ive read them all.

ive read the rules and regs. Im following most and I have made informed decisions which ones to not follow. I did the same when i installed my roof, fixed my plumbing, repaired my car etcetera.
