classic
A classic is an outstanding example of a particular style; something of lasting worth or with a timeless quality; of the first or highest quality, class, or rank – something that exemplifies its class. The word can be an adjective (a classic car) or a noun (a classic of English literature). It denotes a particular quality in art, architecture, literature, design, technology, or other cultural artifacts. In commerce, products are named 'classic' to denote a long-standing popular version or model, to distinguish it from a newer variety. Classic is used to describe many major, long-standing sporting events. Colloquially, an everyday occurrence (e.g. a joke or mishap) may be described in some dialects of English as 'an absolute classic'.
"Classic" should not be confused with classical, which refers specifically to certain cultural styles, especially in music and architecture: styles generally taking inspiration from the Classical tradition, hence classicism.

Went to do a service on the above boiler today. I automatically assumed that it was on an open vent, so did the service, put it all back together but thought I'd check the airing cupboard anyway, and luckily I did. They had last year upgraded from vented to unvented and it's now a sealed system...

I went on a breakdown call yesterday and I had to replace the fan on an Ideal Classic FF250, which I did, but whilst fitting I noticed that the seal on the burner box wasn't complete and I checked it for CO with my FGA. It's giving out 29ppm so I've turned it off and informed the customer, who...
Anyone familiar with this boiler and come across something similar before?
The tech guys said it must be an external control. I'm not so sure.
New fan put in 3 weeks ago.
Colleague thinks pcb or gas valve, leaning towards pcb.
I have ordered a few different parts so hopefully its one of those.
Install something without checking the door to the room can still open/close. Was a radiator with built in towel bar.
Door couldn't be flipped either as would still have been in the way.
And as I'd drilled holes in tiled wall to fit I had to spend rest of job cutting them off wall in place...
Serviced my 1st Ideal Classic today, noticed there wasn't any cover on the FGA sample point, called Ideal and they said there should be a rubber cap on it, but they didn't seem to stress it was a danger. The property is getting renovated so is empty, I've ordered a kit with the rubber cap in it...

I've recently purchased an old victorian house which will need renovation. We're looking into central heating solutions and are currently deciding on what type of radiators to purchase and install.

Hi
I wonder I anyone can help solve a puzzle for me please?
I have been asked to replace a leaking radiator valve on a very old system.
I have tied up the ball cock in the attic and began to drain the system (boiler switched off etc).
