Anyone had this on a Vaillant Ecotec?
Hot water works fine, heating randomly works.
No fault codes, works in service mode.
When heating is called for the radiator symbol will show on the display pump runs then nothing happens. Eventaully it will kick in.
As its not showing a fault I can only...
Anyone know where I can find so install manuals for a vertex flue on an old Worcester 240 combi.
I popped into to look at one with no heating (pretty sure it’s a controls issue) but wanted to get some info on the flue before I attempt to fix it.
Never actually seen one in the flesh.
Taken a couple of days off to do some jobs at home never seem to get any time , topped up the insulation in the loft , fitted a new towel rail , we treated ourselves to a new TV for crimbo as there's nothing else we needed ours was about 10 years old so had to be home for the delivery.
The Mrs...
What’s everyone using?
General isolations valves for 15mm pipe to taps, toilets etc
The £1 are crap
The £5-6 levers are a bit overkill
There doesn’t seems to be a middle ground valve
Does the forum seem quiet in your opinion? I’m on another forum and there’s several plumbing, heating and gas related posts usually daily, but certainly more frequently than on here. Could it be the adverts, as mentioned here? Maybe it’s the minimum amount of characters required? Or maybe it’s...

I don't post often but wanted to share the absolute joke that Checkatrade has become.
Just a few days ago I've had a casual spam email from them "10 ways to improve your profile blah blah" I opened that and what caught my eye is uploaded below. Without any notice, without any effort to cosult or...
Carried out a routine service on a Valliant 637 fitted by me some 12 years ago now , replaced heat ex insulation £47.50 + vat I thought was a bit expensive ? all was ok till I checked the combustion air intake and found similar readings to in the main flue so meant a strip down and a ring round...
Want to change waste and change trap for plastic. If I can get a compression coupler over that little bit of horizontal waste pipe I can do the rest as have box of loads of random waste bits and pieces. But if I cut off the trap and then find nothing goes over that bit of pipe I'm screwed...
Standard CH white rad, flow and return connected at the top, bottom connections blanked, make-shift bleed fitted on pipework at top straight after one of the valves, ignoring looks as being used for temporary heat, not fitted to wall, sat on two wooden blocks, it should get hot/work normally yes?
Needs to be suitable for gravity fed hot and preferably from Screwfix, Toolstation, Wickes, B&Q.
I know some have the bolt at the front as have randomly noticed, but can't remember which. Hoping someone did one recently and remembers.
It's either than or really awkward cutting out of backing...

I have been to an ariston e combi evo the I believe has a leaking main heat exchanger.
I can’t isolate the flow and return as they drip so need to open up the SS heat exchanger.
I have the new gasket but it’s not a full circle like Vaillant seals and is held together with a staple ( I assume for...
