Hi folks. I’ve been asked to remove a toilet within a cafe but the cold feed disappears into the wall. I’m concerned about the dead leg as I can’t see how much pipe is actually there. I’ve checked the regs and it just states it’s advisable to remove completely wherever possible and that’s it...

I used to like the Aqualisa Visage but now too expensive and unnecessary ‘smart’ features seem obligatory.

What do you guys charge for outside taps? The standard through a kitchen wall under the sink. I charge £125, usually do a few each year but people are offering £70 around here? It’s £25 materials minimum and by the time you have cleared the cupboard and tidied up it’s 1.5 hours work for me.

Following on from a thread on the open section of the forum, thought it might be interesting to see what everyone's day rate is without prying eyes of the public. I'll start - ours is £300+VAT per day. Used to be £250 before covid, then £280, now £300. Get anyone turning their noses up at...

Basic stuff for most of you no doubt but we all have our ignorances. This drain off is leaking (from the end of the bit water is meant to come out of when in operation). It's also basically pointless as I doubt you'd get a hose on it, although I suppose you could try tightening it into the...

When doing a gas safety check / certificate you are asked to check heat input or operating pressure. I have been told that you can’t record the operating pressure on a boiler with a zero guvnor it has to be a gas rate and calculate heat input. Do you agree?
