A rain gauge (also known as an udometer,pluvia metior, pluviometer, ombrometer, and hyetometer) is an instrument used by meteorologists and hydrologists to gather and measure the amount of liquid precipitation over an area in a predefined area, over a period of time. It is used for determining the depth of precipitation (usually in mm) that occurs over a unit area and thus measuring rainfall amount.

    Cant get my head around pressure drops on different meters.

    Hi can some one please give a simple explanation to why on existing installations - on E6 meters you are allowed 8mb drops and U6 you are allowed 4mb. I just dont get the logic - because if the e6 is a lot smaller meter with less gas in it and you are allowed more of a drop? Thanks

    Boiler water pressure.

    When topping up my boiler the pressure only rises to 2 bar max. I know it doesnt need to be any higher but previously it would rapidly rise and continue until I closed the valve on my filler loop. I'm sure my mains pressure is fine as I recently had it replaced from lead to plastic. Can anyone help?
