Discuss What we all working on this week ? in the Plumbing Jobs | The Job-board area at PlumbersForums.net

1st day back after having last week off, got lumbered with a fault “boiler tripping electrics and blowing fuses” after carrying out basic electrical checks, I managed (after an hour or so) to trace the fault to a 240vac thermostat - customer had hung an air freshener and just have punctured the cable slightly 🙄

Started the post easter season with a syphon change, rusted cistern nuts real tip. Moved onto taking a customer through last week's changes to heating system and collecting the £2.5k. Finished off with a nice outside tap washer change and a sort out of the under sink waste plumbing. Followed by the whilst you're here can you tell me if I can split my bathroom in two adding an extra toilet and basin.

Nice easy finishing off new water supply to replace old steel feed tomorrow, as long as Northumbrian Water turn up. Looking for a short day.

Thursday cancelled today as they've just booked up to go away for a week from tomorrow. So looking at pulling the three jobs from Friday into Thursday and having another long weekend.

Well just about done hear just flooring to go down and damaged parts to replace when they arrive . Kop

Thought it might be salvageable, but damage too severe. Insurance job so new boiler. Fire investigator was there when I called in. No accelerants, didn't start from boiler or oil line, possibly a lithium battery in wheelie bin but cause is officially unexplained. Luckily the boiler stopped the propane tanks exploding.

Ooh it could of been a whole lot worse then mate 😕

Well there's an hour I won't get back.
Asked to have a look at first fixing for a bathroom and en-suite.
No hot, cold, waste or soil pipework upstairs.
Saniflo for ensuite.
Hot and cold to be picked up from by the boiler and ran through pitched single storey roof space, tee off into ensuite and then into bathroom.
En-suite has thermo shower, basin and wc.
Bathroom has bath, electric shower over, basin and wc.
New 4" soil from wc in bathroom drop into roof space, drop through ceiling, run just below ceiling, core through external wall, tee, new stack only 1 story and connect into existing stack 2m away.
Plus waste pipes for above and connection and pipe for saniflow.
Gives me the plan, attached, then tells me he has a price already. £1,350.00. I told him to snap his hand off.

Cheers.

List 2 cases for 10.00 and mines the second, typical. Turned up in my work gear as well to hopefully move things along 😀
Their rep requested a private meeting with mine to discuss settlement. I said nope.
I've paid for the hearing, there offering less than 50%.

Started and Finished this one off this week I hate old hair plastered walls had to re do them with minimal mess 😂
