What is the main difference between a torbeck valve and a part 2 ball operated valve...

Which do you prefer....

As far as I'm aware, Torbeck is Part III. I prefer Part 2 for cold water storage, Torbecks for side inlets on toilets and Fluidmaster PRO45B for bottom fed inlets.

yes cheers mate -iv recieved negative feedback elsewhere about torbecks... saying some come faulty

Torbecks are great when they work, fast and quiet but as soon as a bit of grit gets in them they play up and are very finicky.

Part 1 & 2 are brass ballvalves, the latter having an adjustable arm and top exit to provide an air gap.

Part 3 are the same style as part 1 but plastic

Part 4 are toilet cistern only,Torbeck, Fluidmaster etc

I'm sure thats right unless anyone wants to correct me?

Hi all I'm hoping someone can shine a light on this for me Since our stop tap on the pavement has now been filled with sand for whatever reason...
