At 28 years old I want to gain the relevant qualification in plumbing to be a 'qualified plumber' but with so many options I'm not sure which the right direction.

I'm currently working for a water treatment company which mainly involves a lot of domestic plumbing anyway and have been for the last 10 years. I've been in touch with my local training centre who recommend the city&guilds 6035 course which I've later read is not a recognized qualification and that the NVQ qualification is what I should be aiming for.

Can I go straight into the NVQ course or do I have to do the city & guilds 6035 first?

Hi jd I'm on the city & guilds 6035 course being a complete novice , if you feel you've got the experience do the nvq l2 that's what they recognise as being qualified!
