Tap spanner?

Hi All,
Just tried to replace a leaky tap for my Dad and came across tricky situation as usual. I manage to get the lever off ok but can't get the shrowd covering the cartridge to budge by hand. I am going to need a spanner of some sort,just need to identify what I need, size and where can get one etc. I have attached a pic for reference and many thanks for your help.

I've never seen one loke it before. Would'nt it be easier to just replace tap or both to suit?

Not at £100 a go, not really no.

The picture is the main body btw. I have an exact spare which was faulty but the cartridge are brand ew.

Yes, was thinking along those lines but was wondering if there was a proper spanner/socket etc that plumbers use.

But most sockets re round on h outside. Need something like a hollow allen key.

At a £100 apeice .. they should have a make and a name. The best thing I'd suggest is to google the manufacterers instruction and hopefully you'd be able to download it..!!

Yes that sounds good, think will try them thanks. Just thought a plumber would see what I need, thanks anyway to you all.
