Hi All
Looking to replace taps on a cast iron bath, accessing them is near impossible (i even had to remove toilet). The taps are old lifter type with brass 3/4" nuts that seem welded on! The basin is much the same tbh.
I have a tap remover set like this and after 10 mins of finally getting it...
currently an apprentice and just changed over some basin taps my tap spanner isn’t great and slips off a lot, can anyone recommend anything decent and not too expensive?

I've an old 'Shetack' spanner which I've never used for years, also got a 1/2 & 3/4 Monument 'hook' jaw spanner which is badly worn and slips. According to Monument you can't get replacement 'hooks'. I've also got a Rothenberger telescopic version which I've found useless except being spring...
At the minute I am using a tap spanner with a big bulky head and the frustration it causes me when I can only turn the tap nut not even a quarter of a turn before it gets stuck between the nut and the back of the sink is over whelming! :32:

Hi all is there a tap spanner for undooing the nuts of small wash room cornner basins.
Ive tride donky jaw ones and the longe handled ajustable ones and there both to big. :confused:
