Anyone came across this before on brass fittings stored in shed. Any suggestions on how to remove it. Tried wire wool, cleaned in hot soapy water and left to soak in boiling water. Anyone know of a chemical that could remove it?

Wire brush, the wheel type with a spindle that fits in a drill? Thinking it`s just oxidisation from damp.

Or it could be rat piddle as its only on a handful out of a box full. I do have a wire brush but was hoping for a solution that's a little easier :)

It can`t get much easier than a wire brush, isn`t there a chance that harsh chemicals could damage the seat where the olive seals. Didn`t think about rat pee tbh but still oxidisation none the less.

Good point. I'll dig the wire brush out and give that a try.
