Can someone explain how an s plan heating system work from the sequences through the eletrics. So if I call for heating from the programmer it will send a signal to the room stat and so on and so forth...

L N E In

time controller /prog sends to

(heating)

room stat (calling) , which sends to

zone valve

zone vale opens (and opening micro switch)

fires boiler and pump

Something like that. We have to memorise the wiring diagram for a s plan system.

get your books out, have a look at the diagram in there, memorise it then draw it out a few times fm memory, do it enough and you'll never have to ask on here again.

I have a plumber coming tomorrow to change a cartridge on a badly dripping tap on my bathroom mixer unit. There is no separate isolating valve for this tap so I'll have to close the stopcock. I tried closing it today but it won't go absolutely 100% closed and there is still a very slight flow...
