Good morning I have a Adey's magnaclean filter fitted onto the flow pipe ,and when i had it serviced the plumber said all that is going into it was clean water and it should be on the return ? can you help.

You should really get that installed onto the return, as close to the boiler as possible. I have been to boilers not even 12 months old with blocked plate heat exchangers and sticking/leaking diverters as all the dirt in system gets filtered by the boiler and not the filter! It can also affect any sort of manufacturers warranty not being on the return.

I want to reconnect some outbuildings to an existing water supply. The supply pipe is old 22mm MDPE and buried for a fair distance so not going to dig it up and replace it 😬. Question is can I use normal 22mm plumbing push-fit connectors to make the connection as finding 22mm MDPE fittings...

I was stupid enough not to check the position of the pipes under the tiles when installing a toilet and drilled right through the center of a 16 mm copper water pipe. I exposed the pipe by removing a ~30cm section of the plastic sleeve and a ~10 cm section of the pipe around the hole. Several...
