Hi all,
Does anyone know how to get into this tap? I need to check the washers - it's got a drip. There are no grub screws on the tap heads. The tap head/upper cylinder are one piece. So I tried to undo the lower cylinder around the tap body, but it's not shifting - I'm wary of scratching the chrome finish.
There must be a magic solution (or so I'm hoping).

Is that the bit directly under the handles? Or the cylindrical parts closer to the tap base?
Much thanks,
Jennie

hello Jennie,
Can I ask how you managed to strip this tap down? I have the same taps and need to stop them dripping. As you say, there are no grub screws. The chrome section closest to the base appears to simply be a cover as it spins freely. therefore the section below the tap (which moves with tap) may be the answer. I just want to be sure before I start forcing anything.

Cheers in advance - Tony

I was stupid enough not to check the position of the pipes under the tiles when installing a toilet and drilled right through the center of a 16 mm copper water pipe. I exposed the pipe by removing a ~30cm section of the plastic sleeve and a ~10 cm section of the pipe around the hole. Several...

Hi, Can anyone advise as to why the cold water to my bathroom keeps airlocking? This originally happened about 12 months ago and has happened 3-4 times since. It’s an upstairs bathroom, fed from a tank in the attic. The tank is about 8 Meters away and feeds a bath, sink and toilet. The tank...
