handles
A handle is a part of, or attachment to, an object that allows it to be grasped and manipulated by hand. The design of each type of handle involves substantial ergonomic issues, even where these are dealt with intuitively or by following tradition. Handles for tools are an important part of their function, enabling the user to exploit the tools to maximum effect. Package handles allow for convenient carrying of packages.
Hi, I know nothing about plumbing 🤦‍♂️ and am trying to sort out a leaking kitchen tap. It's a Franke Davos 'J' Tap. I turned off the water to the sink and took off the screws at the end of the handles (also the spout, although that may not have been necessary). I thought the handles should just...
I have a twin control, 2 way diverter and temperature knobs, Noken NK Porcelanosa mixer with really stiff controls. I'm trying to identify replacement valves but....
I can't find any way to remove the knobs. There are no obvious access points for grub screws, no covers or removable radial bars...
The taps look like this but are a different make: Victoria Traditional Basin Taps | Buy item at Victorian Plumbing.co.uk - https://www.victorianplumbing.co.uk/victoria-traditional-basin-taps
Even though I keep tightening the handles up as tight as I dare without stripping the threads in either...
Quick question. I installed some Pegler lever ball valves (22mm, water) and because I was tired I messed up my red/blue hot/cold colour code. Rather than swap the valves over (which I can do) can I just swap the handles over?
About a year ago I had a a big renovation done (using professionals) and this included new central heating, plumbing and bathroom.
2 jobs I had to finish on my own was installing the bath panel and putting a doorstop into the bathroom floor. This was right at the end just as I was about to move...
I have just had cause to change the hot ceramic valve (VR04 Type) IN my kitchen tap because it was dripping. The replacement valve has cured the drip but the M4 securing screw that came with it was shorter than the original and did not protrude through enough to engage in the head of the valve...
Hi I have a traditional basin mixer tap both handles are now loose and spin freely without turning the water on or off.
How do I fix this issue? Can I replace the handles or do I need to replace the entire tap? Also, is this an easy DIY job or should I get a plumber?
Thanks a lot,
Davie

Been doing some work at on a female toilets where they have concealed cisterns and have the long flush handles .Like in picture shown, however they keep going faulty as the screw at the end keeps pinging off .
Any one know of a decent replacement?
I have a very heavy gauge aluminium Indian wok (Karahi) that I like to use, trouble is so the handles and rivets are also aluminium so thought I'd re-rivet the handles but add an insulator of sorts to stop getting branded. I rather not use nylon or PTFE but hoping you fellas might come up with...
I am looking to remove thermostatic cartridge as think either clogged up with limescale or other debris as it only gets lukewarm now and never hot enough to use.

Looked everywhere on the internet but cannot seem to find a source for the small (5 - 10mm) half red-half blue discs to fit on mixer taps (mine go missing because of grandchildren I think!). Don't know the manufacturer of the taps so cannot source direct: I guess they are all standard push-in...
Hi all,
Does anyone know how to get into this tap? I need to check the washers - it's got a drip. There are no grub screws on the tap heads. The tap head/upper cylinder are one piece. So I tried to undo the lower cylinder around the tap body, but it's not shifting - I'm wary of scratching the...
Hi
I am looking for a new monoblock tap for a doctors surgery. The tap handles need at least 4 inch handles on them like the picture. I have tried all the main contenders, Plumbase, Plumb Centre , PTS etc and Bristan but cannot find one that will be a monoblock, plenty of two hole taps. Any...
