Hi,

Grohe shower Grotherm 1000 smart starts very high temp, then runs cold (28C) in 2 mins

Changed thermostatic cartridge for a new one

Exactly the same problem?

Inlet temp 54 C
Inlet pressure Hot 3.5 Bar
Inlet pressure Cold 3.5 Bar

Any advice appreciated

Jason

You might have the hot and cold feeds going to the wrong inlets. This is particularly likely if it's always done this, or been very sensitive when trying to set the temperature. Some models allow you to install an upside-down cartridge to compenstate for this and you need to make sure you have the right one for your configuration.

Thanks for response, I put the old cartridge back in and now starts up cold when turned to the right and goes hot to the left, hopefully temp will sustain and not drift cold, will test tomorrow.

Also noticed the non return valves look different to replacements, are the photos normal, or do
