Do most people tend to use pastry.brushes as flux brushes? The flux brushes I get from the plumbers merchants dont last long
I've had the same small laco flux pot with brush on the lid for about 3/4 years, just keep topping it up with flux from a big tub. I don't clean fittings with flux after soldering like some of the lads at work do so maybe that's why it's lasted so long
this fad for 'cleaning up' the joints after soldering by brushing flux on em drives me crazy.
I maybe wrong but doesnt it help clean the joint up before you clean it ?

Tbh i've never used a brush for flux. Always my finger or the end of the solder and i'm still alive and have silky smooth skin so the wife says
So you wipe the fitting with your flux brush after soldering before the solder has set to aid the solder running? I used to do this but was burning the bristles on the flux brushPlumb center flux brushes I use, PTS ones are rubish n don't last long. I clean the fitting with flux afterwards then wipe clean with a damp cloth. Applying more flux to the join helps the solder run around the joint also. I use end feed fittings.
Never have green flux marks left on my pipe
Pack of 3 from plumbs, cheapest thing they sell lol
Do most people wipe fittings with flux after soldering as its still setting?
