buckley plumb

was caught out the other wk stripped a cistern and fitted as I always do fluidmaster kit float and flush assy refitted cistern and screwed and sealed to wall - come to fit push button and the hole in the lid was to big the button just went through ended up making a washer from an old basin waste . is ther anything out there for this

I've had this when replacing a Dudley cistern. The Dudley had a recess top left and right that allowed the flush button to go back nicely. The new one... Not so much had to go and get a like for like in the end

2 inch hole in the cistern lid for the button eh, there was a company that made the cistern and the flush valve and they came together it'll be one of them, they've since gone bump and the spares are nonexistent. The few times I've come across it I've bodged a surround for the new button out of some hot glue and the old button stripped to pieces.
