I'm doing my first plumbing job & I've been asked to run pipes over head & then down a wall to a radiator. The 15mm copper pipes have to be clipped to the ceiling using euroclips, however I have no idea of how to actually make the rods stay in the ceiling. Please help!!

I've got the threaded rods & the plugs, but what kind of hole do I make to keep the plug & ultimately the rod & clip from falling?

drill the hole, insert the rawbolt - send it home with the setting tool which splays the edge then thread bar into.

you could get a male back plate and female munsons? or red heads and studding

you can sometimes get away with using an old philips screwdriver as a setting tool but dont always work

Apart from studding and clips were you given any thing else? What size are the rawlplugs?

I've been given everything I need, however the ceiling is very thin & I manage to drill through very quickly, I don't know how deep or what size drill bit to use. I'm really stuck and getting very annoyed with myself

Of the top of my head its a 12mm bit for the ancor but if your only running 1/2" or 3/4" pipe can you just use brown raw plus (7/8mm drill bit)
