Can this double check valve be attached to plastic?

Can this double check valve be attached to a plastic water pipe, or can it only be attached to a copper water pipe? Thanks.

Yes, but you must use the manufacturers pipe inserts inside each plastic pipe. If using Speedfit pipe, use the inserts without the additional O rings.

If the check valve comes with brass olives, you might wish to replace these with copper olives.

Is this because the copper olives would not leach toxins such as brass potentially could?

No there softer than brass ones so be easier and safer to do on plastic pipe
