waste

WASTE is a peer-to-peer and friend-to-friend protocol and software application developed by Justin Frankel at Nullsoft in 2003 that features instant messaging, chat rooms, and file browsing/sharing capabilities. The name WASTE is a reference to Thomas Pynchon's novel The Crying of Lot 49. In the novel, W.A.S.T.E. is (among other things) an underground postal service.
In 2003, less than 24 hours after its release, WASTE was removed from distribution by AOL, Nullsoft's parent company. The original page was replaced with a statement claiming that the posting of the software was unauthorized and that no lawful rights to it were held by anyone who had downloaded it, in spite of the original claim that the software was released under the terms of the GNU General Public License.
Several developers have modified and upgraded the WASTE client and protocol. The SourceForge edition is considered by many to be the official development branch, but there are several forks.

Slightly moving waste pipe connection into soil pipe

Parents have had a steel beam put into their hallway ceiling to adequately support landing and stairs. This means that the waste from a sink and shower will need to be reinstated slightly lower into the soil pipe, as the pipes will now run under rather than through the beams (the joists will be...

    Tee basin into shower waste?

Hello, have a 4m run of 50mm pipe for the shower. The layout of joists, closeness of corner walls etc mean that it would be very helpful to be able to add the basin waste to a swept tee in the shower waste and this could be between 300-800mm from the soil stack . I've read elsewhere very mixed...

Shower waste hole slope: defect or ok?

I have a 40 mm resin tray to install (sand/cement over suspended ground floor) and a decent McAlpine 90 mm waste. Bath Overflow and Waste Connection

Hi, I bought a new bath overflow and waste which I thought would be simple to install. The existing seems to have been plumbed differently. Does any one know the connection I need in the second photo? I had to cut the old overflow off as it wouldn't loosen.
