room stat

A mechanical room, boiler room or plant room is a room or space in a building dedicated to the mechanical equipment and its associated electrical equipment, as opposed to rooms intended for human occupancy or storage. Unless a building is served by a centralized heating plant, the size of the mechanical room is usually proportional to the size of the building. A small building or home may have at most a utility room but in large buildings, mechanical rooms can be of considerable size, often requiring multiple rooms throughout the building, or even occupying one or more complete floors (see: mechanical floor).

    Wireless Room Stat Problem !!

    Have recently had a condensing boiler fitted Worcester Greenstar 30si, along with a wireless room stat Siemens RDJ10RF, We have this set at 20 degrees but have noticed that say if it is reading 17degrees when we switch heating on the temp will gradually rise but go to 21 or 21.5 then switch off...

    Wireless room stat positioning?

    Imagine a 4 story luxury house . Some issues with heating. Visited today and noted that wireless thermostat is on top floor and the boiler receiver is in the basement !! God only knows if the signal can travel that far ! Now.... on the top floor is master bedroom and bathroom but i feel...

    Hi, please can someone answer this question!I have a worcester 26cd1 xtra combi and want to fit a room stat, the installation manual gives instructions for a wireless stat but as these are quite expensive, can I install a conventional stat ( hard wired ). Thanks in advance Brian.:confused:

    heating fault?

    hi there - just wanted to see if any of you might know what's up with my mum's heating! not sure what's going on - rads get hot when the HW is on, and if I put CH on, basically i can sometimes hear the pump going, but only some rads get hot - it's an older heating system, (vented?) - about 20...
