Hi all, right, dumbass here will try and relay the problem that I have. House is about 15 years old. Original Ideal Classic boiler in kitchen; honeywell stuff in airing cupboard (immersion, cylinder thermostat and 2- or 3-way motorised valve) and honeywell control in kitchen. I can get central heating. I can't get hot water only. Central heating gives me hot water!! Immersion heater on its own gives hot water that is too bloody hot!! almost boiling. Have the thermostat set to MIN. Was thinking of replacing the honeywell cylinder thermostat to solve that problem, BUT was wondering if the two problems are related before I spend any money. I was also going to replace the motorised valve to solve the missing hot water option from the boiler. What should I do first?

Thanks all

Dave

You should call someone who really understands controls and wiring to make a proper diagnosis. You've made a couple of assumptions above that tell me your knowledge is shaky. Just replacing parts is not the answer and will end up costing more than getting a professional in.
