flkexicom hydro block

has anyone done the plastic hydro block on the glowworm flexicom the last one I passed to group service as it looked a pain - got one that's weeping had a quick look but the 2 retaining screws seem unaccessible from underneath due to the boiler jig base - should I do or pass on

seen it done by gloworm techie under warranty, took him an hour and everything came out to replace it. And being a good guy I got his box of surplus o rings etc in case I had to do one myself in future, and that was 2 years back and I still have loads left now despite having come across a few of these blighters. takes me longer still as I always forget a pipe or something at the back and have to start again, doh

Yeh o rings and silicone grease and a long Handle torx driver .

what about the bottom screws seem unaccessable due to jig plate is this so mate

all accessable but seem to have to remove loads to get at the block fm memory

went on ultracom course last wk and had a play with the flexicom while there trainer said there were 2 screws under the jig and boiler had to be disconnected at valves and pulled forward cant see this being the case though

They're not too bad to do once you've done a few, pretty much everything on the bottom section has to come out to do it. If you can't get to the screws there is a way of doing it still, bend the metal lugs on top of the support back and bend the pump support back. Once you've done it pull the back into place.

No screws underneath mate, have to take the copper tails out of the chassis though, split from valves and undo retaining nut so they can be pulled out.

condensate trap comes out to access screws on left. They don't supply enough o rings with the part so make sure you have spares.
