had my second experience of 3/4 " pipe on sat,

I managed to use 3/4" to 22mm pushfit (had one in van) and a new 22mm tank connector.

but was wondering what other options are available as dont like using plastic.

Is there solder and compression?

what is the cheapest option?

just a normal fitting but with different olive?

or completelty different fitting?

seen a lot of different reviews on using imperial olive in normal fitting.

You can buy 3/4 imperial compression rings for use in a 22mm compression fitting (somtimes known as Green Rings) and I always carry a bag of these.

Also Yorkshire Pegler make a 3/4 imperial to 22mm metric soldered ring fitting.

A metric tap adaptor will fit onto an imperial fitting if you get stuck.

Both are available from any good plumbers merchants.

brilliant cheers, needed it once so will go in my collection of "just in cases"

yeah same as, will get a few of each, but attics are a pain to solder in with minimal space and fire hazards so try to keep things in compression

If I haven't got a conversion fitting I'll use my pipe expander to create a 22mm socket on the end of the 3/4 or a 3/4 socket on the end of a bit of 22. 3/4 has quite a thick wall and will expand well to 22mm if you anneal it first.

hmm, havent got one of these, will look as could be another one to go on the wish list, lol
