Advice on old Osma soil pipe boss

Trying to connect up new 40mm waste into the old soil stack (which would be an absolute pain to remove), it's all Osma pipe, from the 70s. Pulled out the old waste from the boss and discovered the seal is pretty knackered, hardened and cracked everywhere (red coloured seal in the photo)...

    4” osma fittings advice please?

I’m doing some 4” soil and I’m having a debate about what can be done with these fittings. They’re both 45s. The double socket has a ring seal on it facing up and the spigot of the other 45 goes into it the bottom. The 2nd 45 is then glued on the spigot and socket. Is this acceptable?

Could do with some advice from an old hand in plumbing! Basically, due to some leaks and poor installation in the first place, I need to replace some external pipework, leading from a kitchen sink to a soil stack. The problem I've got is all the existing pipework is Osma 40mm/ 1 1/2 inch...

Hi does anyone know of any technical helpline for OSMA UFH? Customer has 2 loops (same room) on a large manifold that don't appear to work. The actuators appear to work (blue band) showing when the stat is calling but that's about as much as I know on this system. Anyone had this problem before...

Osma waste pipe - is it compatible with other brands?

I need to modify a 50mm Osma PVC waste pipe run but none of my local plumbing merchants seem to stock Osma range. I can get what I need online but as I only need a few bits the post & packing charges make it rather expensive. Are there any other brands that are compatible with Osma (i.e...

    Osma strap on boss

Why do I always have difficulty connecting into these? The sealing ring is so tight that I always end up pushing the seal out of place despite my best efforts to chamfer the end of the pipe and loads of lubicrant. Osma weld pipe 32mm and 40mm is virtually an interference fit into the boss.

Hi, a continuation of my replacement shower planning... I have plastic Hep20 Barrier pipe leading down to my existing shower unit. There is an Osma Gold elbow fitting that brings the existing (very short) copper pipes out of the wall. I will need to replace these tails with some longer copper...
