flexible

Flexible electronics, also known as flex circuits, is a technology for assembling electronic circuits by mounting electronic devices on flexible plastic substrates, such as polyimide, PEEK or transparent conductive polyester film. Additionally, flex circuits can be screen printed silver circuits on polyester. Flexible electronic assemblies may be manufactured using identical components used for rigid printed circuit boards, allowing the board to conform to a desired shape, or to flex during its use.

How to join and reduce pvc push pipe to flexible hose

Hi everyone, new to the forum as desperately seeking advice on the sink that has been the bane of my life for several months now! We live on a boat so it isn't the usual sink set up. The sink waste just joins to a short length of plastic hose that leads to the outside of the boat. I put in a...

How do I get a new flexible hose to engage without leaking to inlet valve bottom entry?

The inlet valve bottom entry to toilet cistern developed a drip that flowed under toilet and dampened grout on tiles. Initially I could not figure where leak was so fearing it was an underfloor pipe I called out the original plumber from 13 years ago. Turns out it was the inlet valve to...

    Rubber Cored Braided Flexible Connectors

The NHS has already de listed rubber cored flexible connectors I learn this morning that a local Metropolitan Borough Council in my area has followed suit. Flexible Connections ...problems

I hear that all flexi braided connections have been de listed by the NHS. The problem is their rubber core which becomes soft and collects bacteria. This is obviously not good and they have decided to cease using these connections anywhere near hot, cold and drinking water. Wras are already on...

    Flexible hose advice

I am trying to fit a wall hung toilet in our new en suite. The flexible hose within the cistern is only just long enough to exit the hole in the cistern which means the final connection will be very awkward. The flexible hose is female BSP both ends. One end is 1/2" to fit onto a 15mm...

    Flexible pipe for bathroom waste?

Hi. Have a query on a bathroom sink waste. I'm not a plumber, a few times over the years I have taken the trap off to clear it. It consists of the trap attached to the waste and a bend going to a bartol pipe that goes in to a trap (I assume) in the floor. It appears not to be in line so it's...

Braided flexible pipe to supply a radiator?

A damp wall and peeling paper led me to investigate the radiator on the floor above it. Lifting a floor board revealed a braided flexible hose connected to the radiator. This didn't strike me as standard practice not to mention the severe kink in the hose. However I think the small slow leak has...

Connecting flexible tap tails to isolation valve

Hi all. Just discovered the flexible tap tails are too short to reach the isolation valves by about 60mm. When I did the same type of job at my house, I learnt that using a tap tail connector is better than connecting directly to the iso valve, with its sharp edge. However, these are too short...
