cordless

The term cordless is generally used to refer to electrical or electronic devices that are powered by a battery or battery pack and can operate without a power cord or cable attached to an electrical outlet to provide mains power, allowing greater mobility.
The term "cordless" should not be confused with the term "wireless", although it often is in common usage, possibly because some cordless devices (e.g., cordless telephones) are also wireless. The term "wireless" generally refers to devices that use some form of energy (e.g., radio waves, infrared, ultrasonic, etc.) to transfer information or commands over a distance without the use of communication wires, regardless of whether the device gets its power from a power cord or a battery. The term "portable" is an even more general term and, when referring to electrical and electronic devices, usually means devices which are totally self-contained (e.g., have built-in power supplies, have no base unit, etc.) and which may also use wireless technology.

    HI I have been and will be working outside quite alot and have been using a Draper 18v cordless combi hammer drill. However it is just not powerful enough and I used up two batteries trying to drill a whole though a metal trough, without much luck. Can anyone recommend a good reasonably...

    Fein multimaster cordless. Any Good????

    I know the corded one works well, but what about the cordless one? It is only 9.6volts with 1.3ah has anyone got one? If so is it any good and would you recommend it. also i know it only comes with 1 battery. what about the bosch multicutter?

    18v cordless power tools?

    Are they powerful enough for domestic plumbing, apart from core drilling? Also, what do you guys use for core drilling? Whats the best cordless drill out now? Do you guys you recip saws much?

    my 6 month old makita cordless started smoking :(

    i couldnt believe it, only had the damn thing 6 months and while i was drilling through the timbers in a stud wall it just started piling smoke out the vents with a very plasticy burning smell :S. took it home charged it up and it seems fine now, Should i carry on using it?
