circlip
A circlip (a portmanteau of "circle" and "clip"), also known as a C-clip, Rotor Clip, snap ring or Jesus clip, is a type of fastener or retaining ring consisting of a semi-flexible metal ring with open ends which can be snapped into place, into a machined groove on a dowel pin or other part to permit rotation but to prevent lateral movement. There are two basic types: internal and external, referring to whether they are fitted into a bore or over a shaft. Circlips are often used to secure pinned connections.
Hi, My kitchen mixer tap has been leaking, and one of the faucet levers is wobbly. So I tried the replace the grub screw and 'clean the ceramic cartridge' thing in the hope that would sort it out, because I can't get to a hardware store to compare and buy a replacement cartridge/tap in person...
Hello,
I wondered if anyone knew where I could get a circlip like the pic?
Picture is here if it won't show up: https://www.dropbox.com/s/jc6iosehk9hp1xb/2014-10-13%2011.28.54.jpg?dl=0
I nice plumber gave me a different one off an old tap but it was a bit to thick and keeps poping...
Can anybody help me locate a circlip for a 15 year old Armitage tap. It is shaped like 3 sides of a square, rather than the conventional circular shape. If anybody can help me, I would be very grateful, as I really don't want to buy 2 new taps for the sake of a lost washer!
Thanks in advance...
