Hello!.

Just wondered if anybody has read the Gas safe mag this month?.
Interesting article by honeywell on Zoning. Just wondered what people thought about having two heating zones in a house/dwelling, even if it's under 150m2?. I'm sure Honywell are happy. Anyway its part of the building regs (L) last year so......

customers will not be happy as cost for controls is rising ,but is a reg they have to comply with when they get new istall

Yes thanks. I agree totally!. Even if you change two components for example, a boiler and thermostat, Zoning is required. Thats going to be interesting explaining that one away to the customer. sorry your £150 job is now £1000.

no , we have to recommend it should they not agree is there problem ,but we as Gas fitters have to list it on the benchmark to cover our self

I see what your saying but obviously a new system will need zoning. Unless 70% open plan living area, one storey. Seems a bit crazy, say you have two rooms downstairs, one room up etc. Don't get me wrong I think it's a good idea in the right circumstances.
