Tell bout it!! Wouldn't be to bad but not enough for 2 people, perhaps enough for 1 of us, 2yrs ago I was turning jobs down! Suppose if I can hang out till winter I'll be ok :)

Re: x2 Gas safe engineers looking for temp work Stoke - diagnostic service or install

Winter not much better ! people just not spending, even serviceing work has drop'd off, some just keeping it up to honor warranty. work in this area very slow, 3 jobs in 2 weeks, total earnings £90.00 , had to cut price to get them, lot & lots of new van's around all undercutting rates, if you have been employed you have been somewhat protected from what has been going on for at least the last 4 years, and things not getting any better, Sorry it's all doom & gloom but thats how it is right now !! :icon13:

Re: x2 Gas safe engineers looking for temp work Stoke - diagnostic service or install

I live out in the country side so work out here is a bit slow, Plymouth about 18 Mls away but work not much better ! some places in UK seem to be better than in the SW, but rates are being cut, work in your area maybe better than here, has for things getting better, reports say 2/3 years B4 it starts to pick up, Just waiteing for all the Greek plumbers to start ariveing !!
