Does anyone know where i can get a good template to help me do estimates. My wife thinks i spend too much time writing them and going into to much detail.

any ideas?

thanks

Yeh,my wife's right to often toooo !!!!

I prefer Quotations, don't do many estimates

But like to treat each estimate in its own right, gives the customer the impression you are putting a bit more thought into it,rather than just ticking boxes next to items
However having your own check list ,to make sure you have covered all items,to spend process up may be a good thing

imho

Quoting is just a labourious grind.

My wife nags me about it....she's probably right. That said, I win most of the work I quote for, so either I'm too cheap or I quote properly. It does take an age though. Just finished for tonight, more to do tommorow. I've been quoting and typing reports till gone 10pm every night for the past few days. It sucks.
