Worcester Heatslave 20/25 pressure valve sticks open when manually releasing pressure, takes a lot of faffing around to get it to close, is it a replacement job

Yes replace it, but why are you having to manually release the pressure?

Topped up on the loop and slightly over cooked it so was just easing back a gnats, and the bloody thing wouldn't close, lost 90% pressure

Never use the prv to let of excess pressure, use a drain off.. there's one on the heat bank it's on the bottom left.
The prv is nice and easy to change though. Sometimes if your lucky the prvs do re-seal

Every two weeks or so I have to go and top up the system because the hot taps are running cold. Boiler display is flashing 0.6 bar and I fill up to 1.3. I've had an engineer look inside the boiler and he can't see anything wrong. I've checked the pipes all over the house and cannot see any...
