Hi, just looking for opinion on a tapping noise our boiler has only recently started doing..Only happens just after hot water is turned off, and is loudish tapping noise for maybe 1 minute with time between tapping getting longer till it stops completley. Never happens on CH...

We recently had a gas safe guy chemical flush the system and fit a magneclean fliter.. Not sure if this is related.

Any thoughts on whether it is dangerous or ok to leave or any other advise?

cheers !

Hi, its from inside boiler, sounds like its coming from next to ignition flame, which i'm presuming means is coming from secondray heat exchanger... Boiler is about 13/14 years old I think, was already installed when moved in some time ago.

Could be scaled up. You could try a boiler silencer additive.
