Hi,
was just wondering what guarantee people are giving on their work? I was thing of 12months guarantee on my workmanship and fittings supplied by me. But I am going to do drainage work and was thinking there is no way I can guarantee drains for a year as it all depends on what customers are putting down them and whether their shared or not.

So what guarantee do you offer and do you have terms and conditions, also does it vary on the type of work you carry out?

Thanks

Pretty sure you have to give a year as standard unless a waiver is signed?

as for the drainage if the blockage is down to your workmanship then on your head
if its due to them blocking it then you can charge for the work

also this is better in the arms as we are talking about business practices.

MODDDDD

Drainage works 1 year latent defects and delapidation 15 years on materials

Normally 1 year on works but drainage works (blockages) are a remedial so is guaranteed until the cheque clears

Can't beat a good old driveway guarantee :)

"Hello sir! Would you like us to do your driveway sir? We are working in the area and will have a lot of tar left over. Do it very cheap sir! We give you a 7 year guarantee sir. 3 inches of tar sir."

12 months from date of completion. As long as they paid on time. If they paid late then i would repair late.

12 months on my labour and parts for plumbing and heating.I am also prepared to help with dealing with heating guarantee claims .It is always important to be sure it is a manufacturers fault rather than anything to do with me.

With boilers and controls it's all the same if all new. Get a combi everything gets 7 years. Rads are actually 15 but just tell custard 7. Controls trv mag all 7 years. If system boiler 5 years on boiler and pump and two ports programmer ect. Reality it's all going to last 10 years minimum. Use wilo pumps as 5 years standard!

I guarantee I'll be cheaper than British gas. Most of the time ;)

U only just beat them when custards holding the BG quote. Ok so with some manipulation I can do the same boiler for about £250 less than BG. ££££££!!!!!!!!!

Hi all. Hope you have all been keeping well. A while back I decided I only wanted to fit one brand of boiler and decided on Viessmann due to space for servicing and changing parts if ever needing to. I am finding my decision rather hard due to the different clearances on flue runs and cupboards...

We run a community village hall and have a large kitchen provided for the use of hirers. This includes a Lincat SLR9 gas cooker which I believe is a 23.8Kw appliance with all six burners and oven on max. This was installed some 10 years ago and has passed all subsequent Gas Safety inspections as...

Hi, Can anyone advise as to why the cold water to my bathroom keeps airlocking? This originally happened about 12 months ago and has happened 3-4 times since. It’s an upstairs bathroom, fed from a tank in the attic. The tank is about 8 Meters away and feeds a bath, sink and toilet. The tank...
