What could the possible causes be of the heating turning on at random moments and for various amount of time on a Vokera Linea Max combi?

For instance, the digital programmer was set to 'override On' for the evening, then to 'override Off' at night, and the heating came back on all night whilst the programmer still showed it to be off in the morning (unsure what it may have showed during the night). In another scenario, the programmer was set to 'override Off' AND the dial was set to hot water only and yet the heating still came on.

Expect an appropriately trained engineer could find out. If your a shoemaker it's probably elves! Cold at night!
