I have just noticed a strange white powdery / rust build up on the pump on my unvented system. Is this normal ?

Please see pics.

Thanks

where is the iso valve? directly above the pump?
looks like the valve has been weeping for a while,
if it is landing on the pump, over time could be the problem.

Hey. Thanks for the reply.

Yes that valve is directly above the pump.

Im covered with British Gas so will get them out on Monday.

Should i just keep my eye on it ? What is all the white stuff ?

Thanks

it will have been a slight leak for ages to slowly build up a crusty mould,
not going to be anything to worry about until it is sorted.
