Hello all, I need some advice please?

I shut the gate valve next to the UV cylinder and drained down the tribume premier unvented system and replaced the faulty 18 litre expansion vessel ( white ) with an identical one ( generic red ) and opened up the gate valve and now have no water coming out the hot taps ( only an intermittant dribble at best )

The central heating was bled and is working fine as it the cold taps, the bar pressure is slowly going up and not ive shut it all down as it reached 2.5 bar in nearly 24 hours

Any ideas on whats gone wrong and how to fix please?

I would appreciate any help resolving the issues please?

Well you've broken the building regs and the water bylaws so I suggest you employ a G3 qualified plumber to come and rectify the problems you've created.

As Mike said, you need a qualified engineer to repair this equipment. Why did you fit a red vessel?

Out of interest and apart from the obvious, what is the difference between the hot and heating vessells?

I got a bit of a shock the other day when replacing an expansion vessel, it was grey. Luckily there was a sign onnthe box 'dont panic, the colour has changed' :)

The hw vessel will have been wras approved as it's potable water, so the membrane will not contain any contaminants so safe for human consummation ( so they say )

Never dismantled a potable one, but I believe its more of a balloon inside the vessel so the rubber contains the water within the vessel rather than the shell.

They're all like that Si, it's more down to the membrane that forms the balloon. There's a name for the type of material but the consumption of alcohol has prevented my brain from working properly. ..

Our kitchen mixer tap has started dripping. Like so much of the plumbing in our almost new build bungalow, it is lacking! The plumber didn't install any isolating cocks in the H&C feed to the tap so how can I identify which of the valves is passing? Shut the whole H&C water system down?

Hi, Can anyone advise as to why the cold water to my bathroom keeps airlocking? This originally happened about 12 months ago and has happened 3-4 times since. It’s an upstairs bathroom, fed from a tank in the attic. The tank is about 8 Meters away and feeds a bath, sink and toilet. The tank...
